Remembrance Sunday Parade

This year’s Remembrance Sunday parade was a success. The parade, including our own squadron, marched the usual route through Todmorden from Stansfield Road to the memorial garden, where a sobering service of remembrance took place.

After the service, the parade marched to the Royal British Legion, where a buffet lunch was served.

Halloween Night

Monday 31st October will be a parade evening with a difference!!!!

Dress for the evening will be in keeping with the theme of halloween but sensible.

There will be an opportunity to ‘Wrap the mummy’ and perform an alternate drill routine to some interesting music.

Prizes for best outfits!

Bronze Expedition Success

Congratulations to Cpl Barker, Cpl Butterworth, Cpl Harper and Sgt Wilkinson on completing their qualifying Bronze DofE expedition this weekend 24th & 25th September.  They were part of two larger groups which included cadets from 185(Batley)Sqn.

The teams walked for two days in the Yorkshire Dales area from Bolton Bridge to Cracoe camping overnight in Appletreewick. Despite a bit of damp weather and some interesting navigation choices both teams fullfiled the requirements of the award.

Very well done and congratulations !!
